I downloaded a new version of itunes and it deleted my music?

So i downloaded a newer version of itunes so i could import my music into my newer ipod. But when i downloaded it, almost 75% of my music was deleted. Why did this happen and is there any way to fix it?

If the songs are gone from your library, they may still be on your computer. Browser for your files and the import them into itunes

If the songs are gone from your ipod (should only be if they're gone from your library), this happens if your sync is set to automatic. Itunes will remove any songs from your ipod that aren't in your itunes library. The only way to reverse it is to reimport the songs into your itunes library then get it to put them back onto your ipod. In future, make sure your ipod sync is set to manual (not available for shuffles)


If they're gone from your harddrive, you'll have to get them from the original source, e.g rip them from your cds. I don't use the itunes sotre, but i've heard if you lose your files you have to repurchase them :(

If your laptop has DVI and your TV has DVI

If your laptop has DVI and your TV has DVI, then just get a DVI to DVI cable. If your laptop has DVI and your TV has HDMI you can get a DVI to HDMI cable or adaptor (if you get the adaptor then you'll need a HDMI cable as well). This will only carry video though.

This depends on your laptop. There is more than one way in which to accomplish this. So you need to read your laptop manual or look at its ports (if you know the difference between various types) and determine what kind of video output port your laptop has available.

Then you need to sort out what available port types your LCD has. Does it have HDMI? Does it have DVI? Does it have VGA? Or does it only have s-video or composite? You need to know both ends of the equation.

The simplest method is HDMI to HDMI if both items have HDMI ports. This is common for your TV but not for your laptop. I'm just curious whether or not people's taste in music affects their grades in school.I have a 3.738 GPA and a class rank of 19th out of 364.

My favorite genre of music is Melodic Death Metal, with bands such as Dark Tranquillity and Kalmah leading my favorites for that. Unless someone has set up a "scheduled task" in windows to start playing some music onyour computer at a scheduled time (do you have any brothers, sisters, friends who would have access to your computer to do this and who would actually want to goof up your computer?) then your system is likely infected with some sort of malware. But first check to see if there is a scheduled task to play music. If not, then do some system scanning for potential infection.

If you're on one of the recent Windows operating systems, and this is tied to logging in, you go to Sound in your Control Panel.

Then on the Sounds tab check things like Windows Logon to see what matches what you're hearing.

Garageband sucks, in my personal opinion. I use Reason 4.0, it is INCREDIBLY powerful, with sythesizers, loop players, samplers, arpeggiators, and tons and tons of options. Full automation capabilities, change any parameter on anything you want. You can actually use it as a tool to make the music that you hear in your head, without compromise. It is a difficult program, but there are tons of tutorials, the operating maunual is great, and the only thing it is missing is audio recording capabilities. It will not work! I purchased Quake 4, which came with Quake 2 and its two expansions, but there is no music, and I've checked, finding no reason why this could be. Can anyone help me out?
Plus, is there any way to get Quake 1 to run on one of these more recent computers? I use Windows Vista, and Quake 1 apparently cannot run on anything other than an old Windows 95 computer.

Youtube says a video I uploaded failed to convert video file because it is a movie i made with movie maker so how do i post the correct video file?

Youtube uses many formats that include wmv(the format that windows movie maker uses). If you make something with movie maker and hit file save it will save it under movie maker format not wmv format. That means that the only thing that file you just made is useful for is movie maker itself(it n't play on anything else) on movie maker in left column it has things to help you make your video(upload video, edit video, finish video) Under finish video there should be something that says "save to my computer". Click that and follow the on screen instructions. Once it finishes you need to upload the new file it created to youtube. That should work fine.

Is there any way I can retrieve my iTunes?

When my laptop crashed, I had someone put my laptops information onto my desktop. My iTunes ( version 8.0.0.35 ) was included in this. For some reason, I can't get it to come up; it says it was made on a newer version of iTunes. I tried downloading the same version, but it wouldn't work because it said there was a newer version of iTunes on my computer. Is there any way I can retrieve my iTunes?

But it is a lengthy process. And they will tell you to try the steps that I have outlined for you first. (I speak from experience).
