I've been trying all sorts of ways to deal with the hand pain using a mouse induces in me. I've tried ergonomic mice, trackballs and using my left hand instead (gives me a sore shoulder!) with no joy. My latest idea would be if i could move the cursor with the mouse and click using a keyboard key, as it's the click and dragging action that causes most discomfort. Anyone have any idea how I could make this happen on my mac?

In fact, I don't find anything they claim in their commercials to be true. I only use mac because of a couple of Apple programs that will likely never be abvailable on the PC.

Microsoft has launched an ad campagne to contradict the idea that all PC users are boring slobs. They are trying to show that there's a lot more diversity in the PC customer base than people think. But the funny part is, they don't need to spend billions of dollars to illustrate the point.
Personally I've never seen any Apple ad criticising anyone advertising spend. As for how much they actually spend, you could find out their overall marketing budget from the published accounts which will be in the public domain for a big, listed company such as Apple.
I see those "im a Mac" commercials everyday. It's funny how a while ago this commercial clearly said that PC spends so much money on Commercials. Honestly I have only seen 2 or 3 PC commercials. In my opinion, PC's are a whole lot better than Macs. But, for people who don't know Computers that well, I would recommend a Mac because Macs (supposedly) don't crash etc. But back to the question at hand, How much money exactly does Apple spend on Mac commercials which proclaim that PC spends too much money on commercials?

Can you save all your media files on your computer to a flash drive?

I was wondering about this because I know my motherboard will crash soon. How much GB would be sufficient? Also, when you save all these files can you transfer them to a new computer?
Hi, Yes you can as long as the flash drive is big enough to hold all your files. As an alternative you could invest in an external hard drive which you could use afterwards as a backup device for your whole system.

It all depends on just how many media files you have and how much space they occupy on your system. However, you can transfer them directly to another computer at any time.
i don't know how many gb's or media files you have on your computer? but if they will fit on the flash drive you can do it. they have like 32gb flash drives out now. but maybe a 16 gb would be enough for you? like i said i don't know how many media files you have
It depends on the size of the flash drive and the size of your files. You can also consider using an external hard drive and burning the media on discs. I'm just saying, it sounds like the ship is going down so you need every lifeboat at your disposal.
Generally speaking, If you can save it on a PC, you can save it to a flash drive.

Limewire is just a portal to download music from other people so you need to know what format the music is in, Usually its labeld at the end like
Reallcoolsong.mp3 or .AAC or.ogg
there are many formats.
And unless its some weird one than WMP should play it fine. unless its just a virus.
And i have no idea how to get it to sync.. are u using an iPod? then you need iTunes instead. otherwise i have no idea.

Garageband sucks, in my personal opinion. I use Reason 4.0, it is INCREDIBLY powerful, with sythesizers, loop players, samplers, arpeggiators, and tons and tons of options. Full automation capabilities, change any parameter on anything you want. You can actually use it as a tool to make the music that you hear in your head, without compromise. It is a difficult program, but there are tons of tutorials, the operating maunual is great, and the only thing it is missing is audio recording capabilities. I personally will answer any questions you have about it, just email me. I suggest you get Reason.

The only way to fully remove a vocal is with the original multi-track studio recording using the program it was created with.
The vocal can be removed with Audacity with varying degrees of success if the track complies with certain conditions. The drums and bass could also be affected.
This is possible only for certain stereo tracks. When the vocals are exactly the same on both stereo channels, you can remove them by “subtracting” one channel from the other. This works for many studio recordings, where the vocal track is mixed exactly in the center.

To do this in Audacity 1.2.6:

1. Import your stereo file into Audacity.
2. Open the track menu (click the arrow next to the track title), and choose “Split Stereo Track.”
3. Select the lower track (the right channel) by clicking it in the area around the mute/solo buttons.
4. Choose “Invert” from the Effects menu.
5. Using the track menus, change each track to “Mono.”

Press the Play button to hear the results. If you are lucky, the voice will be gone but most of the other instruments will be unaffected, just like a karaoke track. You can use the Export commands in the File menu to save the results.

in terms of dual core, quad core, what sound card and is mac a better option? logic studio? etc. thank u in advance
to use FL Studio at the same time as other software you will need a ReWire Master program. there are a few on the market like cubase, ableton and protools. all of these also have options to use (or not use) multicore processors - usual in the "Settings" or "Preferences" sections. with protools you'll need a specfic sound card whereas with cubase or ableton pretty much any will be compatible. so your choice will be down to your needs - how many inputs/outputs, mic/line, etc. cubase and ableton are good for dance music as they are both very advanced with using MIDI. MOTU and M-Audio are always good options. the Mac Vs. PC debate is too close to say these days - just the best spec'd unit you can afford - both will do the job.

Well, first off you are not supposed to download music for free. (Just getting the legal jargan outta the way.)

Secondly, use a torrent program, Utorrent, bittorrent, something like that.
