How do I find and save the Mail icon to the desktop on my mac?

Drag it to the Dock when it is not running. If it running then simply change its position in the Dock. Either of those should be enough to make it stick.
A reson it might keep disappearing is because the program is running and when it shuts down it is removed from the dock what you need to do is find the mail application drag it to the dock then right click on it and see it an option comes up to keep the icon in the dock if the option does not come up then it should be saved on the dock.

My mother purchased a mac and somehow made the mail icon disappear from the docking station at the bottom of the screen on her desktop. She stumbled around and found Applications the next time she logged on, dragged the icon back down to the tray.
There are a couple of ways. You can copy your media to a hard drive (it's as simple as dragging, or copying and pasting). You can get some really great hard drives from Iomega. They are quite cheap. You can also sync your media onto an iPod, and then find a ripping application for mac such as, Music Rescue, iPod Rip, or Xilisoft. Assuming you do not already have a portable hard drive or an iPod, you can share it online with Simplifymedia, which is free, but harder than the other ways. I hope this helps.
Yes, reformat iPod will erase all files on iPod. You can transfer the music from PC to Mac, then add the music into Mac iTunes library and upload them to your iPod. If you don't know how to transfer iTunes songs between mac and pc, this guide would help you a lot

Good Luck, email me if you need further help.
reformatting things normally wipes whatever is on it. It will most likely delete everything on it. Not worth it.

Use Skype. It's free between Skype users, and costs nothing. It is also cross-platform so you can talk to PC users who have it as well.
iChat is great, but yes, if you want to use it outside your home, you will have to have a .me accoun

How to change dimensions of movie on a mac?

I would suggest using MPEG Streamclip. Just open your file, then choose to file export to mpeg 4 and from there you can pick a preset size or manually enter the size you need. (ipod uses 320-by-240-pixel resolution)
The Program is FREE ;)

You can use quicktime pro to change the attributes of videos for the ipod
Like Jeffy said, with all those injuries, not a lot of teams are going to want him. Teams like the Warriors, and T'wolves would probably love to have him, but they don't have enough players with high salaries. They would have to trade like 10 players to match Tmac's salary.
Yes. But after all of these injuries, T-Mac is a huge "?". No one is just gonna take him. I don't really think they'll find a team to trade with
Open your System Preferences. Click on the International tag. Select the language you wish to use from the list on the left side.
If you want the ability to change on the fly, click on the "Input Menu" selection and at the bottom of the screen, click the check box labeled "Show input menu in menu bar."

What specifically are the advantages of Mac over PC?

There are some advantages of a Mac
One of the major being there are hardly any viruses at all the effect them cause almost noone writes them for Mac...

Also you can run virtual PC which allows you to run windows/windows required products which sadly the Mac tends to run more stable than a PC does.
The main advantages of a PC is you can more easily obtain one (that is price wise) and you typically dont have to worry about compatablity like on a Mac.
In the end though... unless you are doing things that take a true demand on your comp, then PC is fine (art rendering... Video/Music editing... just for afew examples)
Why are you using RealPlayer to play a DVD? Open DVD Player instead.
Someone made a weird DVD. If this is a commercially made DVD, it would only play one audio track at a time. I have never in my life come across a DVD that plays two language tracks at the same time, and I own more than 200 DVD movies. When DVD Player first opens the disc, you should see a menu. Choose "Setup" or similar phrasing. Choose the audio track that you want to hear. Choose the subtitles track that you want to see (or "off" if you don't want to see the subtitles).
Some movies have a hard burned subtitle track that you can't turn off (like credits), such as many Indian movies. Most Indian people speak English as well as their regional language. You can usually also choose the "soft" subtitle track, such as French, Chinese, or whatever. In that case, you would see two written languages at times.
Technically, matching salaries only come into play when teams are over the salary cap. Teams that are under the cap have a lot more freedom when it comes to making trades and signing players. Since just about every team in the NBA is over the cap, this rarely happens.
Over the cap, teams have to match up salaries when they make a trade. The match doesn't have to be exact, but the salaries do have to be within a certain percentage of each other. If a team wanted to trade for T-Mac, they'd have to offer up at least $18,300,000 worth of salaries in return. (If I did my math right)
